Kioskafé is Monocle's latest venture in Paddington

kiosk

Looks like Paddington just got an interesting place to grab a morning coffee or lunchtime snack. Kioskafé, a newsstand and coffee bar opened last week - it's a new project from the folk behind Monocle. Inspired by the city-street kiosks of Europe, this teeny 80 sq m space will sell an amazing selection of magazines and newspapers and travel essentials. Think part great café, part street kiosk with some tables outside if you want to linger.

For breakfast there'll be cardomom and cinnamon Swedish buns from Hot Dinners' favourite Fabrique Bakery - cardamom and cinnamon (£3.50) as well as Bircher muesli from The Monocle Café (£4). Coffee is by Allpress - a flat white or latte will set you back £3.

For lunch there's a range of Japanese-style sandwich boxes from East London Japanese food deliveyr company Waso – chicken and egg (£6) while soft drinks include apple and apricot juices from Van Nahmen in Germany and apple spritzer from Cawston Press.

Kioskafé is now open at 31 Norfolk Place, London W2 1QH. Keep up with their news on Twitter @Kioskafe
