Festive spirit aplenty at the Archer Street cocktail popup in Harvey Nichols

If you find yourself in need of some Christmas spirit while braving London’s shops this festive season, duck into Archer Street, a newly cocktail pop-up on the fifth floor of Harvey Nichols in Knightsbridge. The bar will be dishing up all kinds of stiff drinks, which you can enjoy while you soak up the highly festive atmosphere and recline on one of their many velvet armchairs.

The Let It Sloe is Archer Street’s take on a mojito, given a Christmas twist, and is made with Ciroc Vodka and sloe gin, while the Don’t Leaf Me This Way pairs Tanqueray gin with grenadine and basil. If neither of those are to your liking, there’s a whole host of equally pun-heavy other cocktails to choose from (the 'I Love (CÎ) Rock N Roll, the ‘You Give Me Fever’, and so on).

If you’re in need of sustenance, there’ll be a menu from the Harvey Nichols chefs, including braised short ribs with smoked, creamed potatoes, or the seared tuna with wasabi mayonnaise and coriander.

The bar should be a highly decorated affair, veritably overflowing with Christmas cheer. They’ve promised singers and resident DJs, and carols sung by world famous musicians, so all in all, it should provide a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of the high street.

Archer Street is open now on the fifth floor of Harvey Nichols, 109-125 Knightsbridge, SW1X 7RJ. It’ll be open for two months, Monday - Wednesday 4pm - 11pm, Thursday - Friday 2pm-11pm, Saturday 12pm-11pm and Sunday 12pm-8pm.
