Coppa Club opens first London outpost at Tower Bridge

coppa1

Resisting EVERY urge to write a headline along the lines of Coppa Loada That View! we're gobsmacked by the outlook of a new all day eating/drinking/workplace that's about to open on the river. Coppa Club is the first London outpost of a rapidly growing business that started up river in Sonning-on-Thames.

They're billing themselves as an all day space that you can use to work in, or meet people or just hang out. As MD Tiffany Renwick explains; "There are great restaurants, bars, coffee shops and work spaces all over the city, but what Coppa does is put a great restaurant, a great bar, a great coffee shop and a great work space all under one roof." So think of it as a members club without a membership fee.

The club's first London opening (there's already another planned for later this summer off Oxford Circus) is pretty big - with room for 260 people over a space housing a restaurant, bar and a lounge area Wi-Fi and plenty of sockets. There's also a huge outdoor terrace with amazing views looking right down the river.

As for the food, expect a pretty casual menu put together by Matt Fanthorpe (ex Exec Chef of Jamie’s Italian). Opening early for breakfast with juices, pastries, pancakes, the obligatory smashed avocado, the menu the kitchen then moves to all day fare like:

  • Fillet Steak Crudo on Sourdough
  • Kale Detox Salad with Labneh
  • Crab Linguine
  • Flourless Chocolate Cake
  • Mini Butterscotch Pot
