Chicken Town teams up with Clove Club and the River Cafe for its Christmas menu

So this may be the most altruistic Christmas party menu in London. Chicken Town in Tottenham already does a lot to promote healthy eating and careers in hospitality. Now it's using the Christmas party season to look after its neighbours on the big day. For the second year running they'll be throwing open their doors and hosting lunch for vulnerable people in Tottenham, including isolated older people and families living in nearby hostels.

The way they pay for it is through hosting office parties/meals over the festive period. And there's something special about their party menu - as it features contributions from Chicken Town's partner restaurants the Clove Club and the River Cafe. It’s still (amazing) fried chicken, but with a delicious festive twist, washed down with some seasonal drinks from our beverage partners Borough Wines and Beavertown.

The meal kicks off with Christmas snacks and a cocktail designed just for Chicken Town by Robert Simpson of The Clove Club. Then there's a very special starter by Joseph Trivelli of the River Cafe before the Chicken Town Christmas banquet - featuring:

  • Seasonal spiced herb fed flash fried chicken
  • Truffle mash with brandy gravy
  • Festive mac n cheese with chestnut & bacon
  • Spiced red cabbage
  • Carrot tart tatin
  • Parsnip fries
  • Winter greens
  • Christmas brownie with chocolate veloute and ice cream

Oh and there's Borough wine and a Beavertown beer pairing option available.

Chicken Town is at The Old Fire Station, Town Hall Approach Rd, London, N15 4RX. The Christmas menu is £20-25 and can be booked for between six and 40 guests. They have vegetarian/vegan/halal and gluten-free options covered too. To book email david@chicken-town.co.uk or call on 020 8885 0190. Keep up with their news on Twitter @chickent0wn
