Ceru Levantine restaurant goes permanent in South Kensington

Ceru Levantine restaurant goes permanent in South Kensington

They've been popping up in  Fitzrovia, Tower Bridge and Cannon Street, but now Levantine restaurant Ceru is getting ready to settle down. Co-founded by husband and wife team Barry and Patricia Hilton and inspired by their travels in the region, they're setting down with a permanent restaurant in South Kensington.

Ceru will open all day with a modern take on Levantine cuisine as well as classic mezze alongside grilled meats, healthy salads and desserts. Some of the signature dishes on the menu will be:

  • Lamb shoulder slow-roasted for over 5 hours in a secret blend of twelve fragrant spices (£9.50)
  • Apple, pomegranate and mint salad, with pea shoots, pine nuts and green chilli (£5.75)
  • Lamb kebabs, marinated in rosewater and served with rose and mint tzatziki (£9.50).

For lunch, they're speeding things up a little - with an express lunch platter served within twenty minutes of ordering (or you'll get it free of charge). There will be a choice of two platters, each featuring a selection of dips and mezze for one person. Those include grilled halloumi, roasted lamb shoulder, spice roasted cauliflower, fadi dip (roasted courgette, yoghurt, lemon, tahini and garlic), and freshly baked pita bread.

Ceru opens 8 December 2016 at 7-9 Bute Street, South Kensington, London SW7 3EY. For more, follow them on Twitter @CeruLondon.
