Caterer Search, the restaurant industry's top trade website, unveiled its 2011 awards at a chef-studded event, The Cateys, held at Grosvenor House Hotel last night. It's a big deal for chefs and restaurateurs alike, as they're being judged by their peers.

Key restaurant award winners were:

• Restaurateur of the Year - Independent:
  Philip Howard, chef-patron of the Square and co-owner of Kitchen W8
• Menu of the Year
  The Fox and Grapes
• Pub and Bar Award
  The Garrison (gastropub in Bermondsey)
• Chef Award
  Brett Graham, chef-patron of the Ledbury and co-owner of the Harwood Arms
• Lifetime Achievement Award
  Elena Salvoni
