After a run at the Institute of Light, there's a new spot for Art of Dining's Chinese pop-up. They'll be setting up shop in the arches on Cambridge Heath Road. Here's what's coming:
It's all about regional Chinese cooking. Based on their travels in the region, that'll include:
- Xinjiang cumin lamb ribs from of North-West Muslim China
- The Sichuan Bang Bang Chicken Salad.
- Xi’an style potatoes
- Steamed fish with black beans and tea leaf salad from the Yunnan province
There will be a new bar next door, The New Leaf. That's from The Art of Drinking and is inspired by the bars along Beijing’s hutong alleyways - they style will be neon lighting, offset by traditional Chinese lanterns. Expect a Togarashi spiced yuzu sake slushee, Grilled peach margaritas and Lemongrass shochu cocktails.
And snacks in the bar too. There will be bao buns, tornado potatoes, lamb shoulder kebab and BBQ aubergine and tofu with Kaffir lime and lemongrass.
