Andi Oliver is opening Andi's all day spot in Stoke Newington

12/3/17 - Updated with launch info

What: Andi’s

In a nutshell: All day dining from the New Great British Menu judge

Summing it all up: Brunch spot by day and brasserie by night, Andi’s will offer the full spectrum of wholesome, on trend ingredients, including avocado mash in your energy bowl, making it a perfect fit for Stoke Newington’s Church St.

The low-down

Andi Oliver, the chef and new Great British Menu judge, will open her first restaurant in Stoke Newington this spring.

With baked Burford Brown eggs, french toast with maple syrup and toasties promised, it’ll be a brunch and lunch heavy affair well suited to the area, where delis and coffee shops seem to grow wild, particularly on Church Street, where this will be. You’ll be able to customise some of your dishes, with additions like roast tomatoes, mushrooms, sausages, crispy lardons, smoked haddock or halloumi available as sides. There’ll be a he/arty Reuben sandwich on the menu loaded with pastrami and swiss cheese too.

There’ll also be something Andi’s is calling an ‘energy bowl’. Despite the name, it sounds like a nicely healthy alternative to traditional brunch fare, with braised pulses, roast veggies, salad and tahini, with an avocado mash topping.

Come the evening, and the spot will transform into a brasserie serving up evening meals.

It’ll be Andi and business partner Kelly Miles’ first bricks-and-mortar establishment, following a strong run of residencies including the Sugar Shack residency at Homerton’s Jackdaw & Star and events at The Birdcage at Colombia Road which attracted the likes of Rihanna and Jay-Z.
