Adam Handling to open The Frog restaurant in Covent Garden

15/8/17 - updated with opening date

What: Adam Handling opens in Covent Garden

In a nutshell: The Frog goes west

Summing it all up: Adam Handling is bringing his Frog concept from Spitalfields to Covent Garden.

The low-down

Having gone down a storm with folk in East London (we really enjoyed the Frog - see our Test Drive), Adam Handling is now rolling out the concept with a flagship restaurant opening in Covent Garden (and is renaming the original to The Frog E1).

The new place, which is scheduled to open in summer, will reflect the East London site with a large open-plan kitchen but it'll also feature a private dining room in the basement complete with its own kitchen and a speakeasy-style basement bar. Apparently, we can expect a more "formal" approach to the dining room (which fits 20) and there will be new dishes exclusive to Covent Garden too.

Open all day, Adam says it'll "have its own, distinct style with its own dishes. I want it to be unlike anything else currently available in Covent Garden." As long as it features that amazing chicken butter (pictured above), we'll be happy.
