Save yourself a trawl round all manner of 'Oirish' establishments this St Patrick's Day in search of a decent pint of Guinness with the Hot Dinners round-up of food and drink going-on in London for St Paddy's Day.
If it's fine Irish dining you're after, then head on over to Corrigan's Mayfair where the fun starts early with a special St Patrick's Day breakfast on Friday 16th March. They'll be serving up Frank Hederman’s smoked salmon and scrambled eggs or Crispy Black Pudding Poached Hen’s Egg with a pianist who we're sure can be prevailed upon for a chorus or two of the Fields of Athenry.
Corrigan's other restaurant, Bentley's, will have a more raucous affair on St Patrick's Day itself where for £70 you'll get a seat in the Jameson room for a special lunch and screening of the England v Ireland rugby match. There'll be glasses of Black Velvet and oysters on arrival, smoked salmon, irish stew and a Hot Whiskey Apple Tart with a glass of Jameson to round things off. To book email

To book go to www.plateau-restaurant.co.uk/.
Alternatively you could get a group together for a seasonal outing at the Disappearing Dining Club. Hidden away in a Brick Lane shop, you'll be welcomed with a Jameson Whiskey Fizz, followed by a four course menu including Shoreditch Smoked Organic Irish Salmon, Dublin Bay Prawn Cocktail & Oyster Kilpatrick, Slow Roast Irish Pork Shoulder with Colcannon & Spring Greens, Irish Coffee Parfait & Baileys Snaps, then three great Irish cheeses. Tickets are £50 for welcome cocktails, dinner and a nightcap. For booking details email
