London's going flipping crazy for Pancake Day (apologies we couldn't resist that) if the pile of press releases we've had in are anything to go by. Here's our edit of some of the better pancakes you can try this Shrove Tuesday:
William Curley (198 Ebury Street SW1) is serving up posh pancakes from £5 with special heart-shaped pancakes for kids for just £3.50.
Giant Robot (45 Clerkenwell Road EC1) and Tiny Robot (78 Westbourne Grove, W2) are offering the following 3 variety of pancakes - Lemoncillo & Sugar @ £5.50 or Grand Marnier, Nutella & Banana @ £6.50 or Fresh Blueberries, Bacon & Woodford Reserve infused Maple Syrup @ £6.50 All with 3 pancakes per portion.
The Botanist (Sloane Square, SW1) has a special pancake menu available from 3.30pm to 6pm on Shrove Tuesday with caramelised apple crêpe or caramelised banana and chocolate crêpe for £6.75.
Prism Brasserie (147 Leadenhall Street, EC3) will be serving up Blood orange and Grand Marnier pancakes with ginger bread ice cream at £6.
Beas of Bloomsbury will be flipping wild blueberry pancakes with maple syrup on the mezzanine at One New Change EC4 for £6.50 per person, or £5.50 takeaway up until 12pm.
All three Breakfast Club branches (Hoxton, Angel and Soho) has a special Pancake Day Menu featuring Apple & Cinnamon, Chocolate Orange, Banana & Nutella and also Spinach Ricotta and Mushroom.
And finally...Madsen restaurant (20 Old Brompton Road, SW7) has a range of savoury and sweet pancakes on the menu for Shrove Tuesday including the North Sea filled with creamy mussel and dill stew and a sweet pancake served with Swedish cloudberry jam and vanilla ice-cream, both for £5.95.
