Honestly, could there be anything better than answering the door in the run-up to Christmas to find the postman groaning under the weight of an enormous hamper? Especially when it’s actually for you and not for your considerably better-off neighbours. Given the joy that comes with the bringing together of edibles and alcohol in a fancy box or embossed wicker hamper, they’re a no-brainer gift for anyone who loves food.
We’ve picked out a selection of the best Christmas hampers from London's food stores and restaurants that we think would gladden the heart of any greedy person this Christmas.
