The white truffle season is firmly upon us and London's restaurants are falling over themselves to serve it up in every new and inventive ways. Here's where you can find it - and how much it will set you back - across London.
£25 and under
Zucca
184 Bermondsey Street, SE1
South London restaurant Zucca says it's going to be serving up the kidn of dishes truffle hunters would scarf down after a hard day foraging for fungi. So you can try scrambled eggs, Vitella crudo and fonduta all with freshly shaved white truffle - priced between £8 and £20. If that's not enough you can order a whole truffle for the table to be shaved over any dish you like and take what you don't eat home in a truffle doggy bag.

L'Etranger 36 Gloucester Road, SW7
L'Etranger's mix of French and Japanese cuisine means they're turning the truffle on its head using it in a new truffle homemade tofu and in their desserts of truffle macaroon and truffle chocolate cake with paillete feuilletine.

Daphne's
112 Draycott Avenue, SW3
If you stick to the starters at Daphne's there's a whole range of truffled delights you can try including beef carpaccio with white truffle (£27.50), rroasted porcini with pecorino & white truffle (£27.50) and mozzarella tortalonni with white truffle (£27.50) or you can push the boat out and have most of them as a main course for £55. We like the sound of head chef Mike Brown's beef fillet with rocket, balsamic & white truffle (£55.00)

Dock Kitchen Portobello Docks, W10
Stevie Parle is giving the Dock Kitchen's accountants conniptions by serving a special truffle dinner with the truffles at cost price. The £40 Piedmontese white truffle dinner at £40 dinner runs from the 7th to the 19th of November. They're also planning to get in some Piedmontese wines and go for a low margin so everyone can have the full experience. Truffles will be about £3 a gram.

L'Anima 1 Snowden Street, EC2
Francesco Mazzei's Italian restaurant in the city has revleaed its special truffle menu for the season. Everything is priced at market value (around £45 at time of writing) and you can expect white truffle to enhance black angus beef carpaccio, butter & grana padano riserva with homemade taglioni or Risotto with grana padano riserva.

Amaranto
Four Seasons, W1
Chef Davide at Amaranto in the Four Seasons hails from truffle centre, Alba, and will be using classic Italian favourites to showcase white truffles from his home town. Dishes include hand-cut Tartare of Fassona Beef (£65), Tagliolino (£60) and Risotto (£60) all of which you can expect to be liberally covered with truffle shavings.

Massimo
Corintha Hotel, WC2
Chef patron Massimo Riccioli has created a dedicated five course truffle menu with Alba truffles being shved all over dishes such as spaghetti with scallops and basil and grilled fillets of red mullet, anchovy sauce and artichokes - there's even a truffle infused homemade ice-cream for dessert. The White Truffle Menu at Massimo is priced at £190 per head.

Opera Tavern 23 Catherine St, Covent Garden
Opera Tavern are running a truffle event on 13 November as a collaboration with the group's chefs. "Expect fireworks and truffle fever, " they told us. The dinner will be about £110 per head with amazing wines and both white Alba truffles and black autumn truffles from Piedmont. Every chef, including executive chef Ben Tish will do two dishes. The menu so far includes Iberico pork stuffed into cabbage with truffles and chanterelles, Stone bass, cannelini puree and white alba truffle and Steamed sole with porcini and truffle dressing & green dandelion.

Jacob Kenedy is serving up tajarin (Piedmontese tagliolini) with duck egg yolk, agnoletti and battuto – all with a generous helping of shaved white truffle.
Babbo 39 Albemarle St, W1
Mayfair's Babbo has a wholly truffle menu including creamy polenta with porcini and poached quail eggs with white truffle and Dover sole and sea scallops with lardo di colonatta and white truffles.
Boundary 2-4 Boundary Street, E2
Boundary in Shoreditch is offering both Alba and Perigord varieties in dishes such as salade Perigourdine, terrine de foie gras, along with the restaurant's signature roast Les Landes chicken, and the classic soup aux truffles noire.
