If you've been wondering what was going to take over the huge space left by Aster's departure from Victoria, then we now have the answer. Come this autumn it'll be reopening as The Palm House.
The idea is to take inspiration from Cuba and Miami’s 1930s clubhouses, so it's Miami-style on the ground floor and Cuban upstairs with a daiquiri bar.
On the food front there'll be dishes that take inspiration from both countries, so:
- Mahi Mahi ceviche
- Cubano sandwich
- Miami chopped shrimp salad
Although there is a brunch offering planned, we like the sound of the Saturday evening parties. Book a table from 8pm for their 5-course dinner and cocktail party and you get the table for the night which will include DJs and other live entertainment.
