The Savoy launches its Temptation Wheel evening menu at the Thames Foyer

temptationwheel

So this is a bit of fun. The Savoy has introduced a Temptation Wheel - a roulette game where the wheel decides what chocolates, desserts or cocktail you go for. It's to showcase the new evening menu at the hotel's Thames Foyer where they currently do afternoon tea.

The idea is that you call for the wheel, which rolled to the table on a trolley. It's then spun and depending on where it ends up you choose a dessert matched with a hand-made chocolate and uniquely blended cocktail.

Desserts include One Thousand and One Layers made with ginger chiboust cream, roasted mangoes, passion fruit caviar, caramelised puff pastry and Chocolátl - textures of 63% Gran Blanco dark chocolate served in an edible coco pod (both £16) while cocktails might be a Southern Rose made with Grey Goose, rose, muscat, St Germain, raspberry syrup or Kings and Quince with Woodford Reserve, quince liqueur and salted almond.

The Temptation Wheel launches 1 October 2015 at the Thames Foyer, The Savoy, Strand, London WC2R 0EU. It runs 7.30pm until 12 midnight - Monday- Sunday. Keep up with their news on Twitter @TheSavoyLondon
